TIPS AND BENEFITS
The benefits of Pyrex® borosilicate glass are exceptional. It withstands extreme temperatures from -40°C to +300°C. It is highly resistant to thermal shocks up to 220°C (EN 1183): it can be moved from a freezer at -20°C to an oven at 20°C. Hygienic BPA-free material does not retain stains or odours. Scratch-resistant
Wash before first use. Avoid abrasive cleaning products. Washing dishes under abnormal conditions, such as high water temperature and detergent dosage, may damage the glass. In the event of burnt-on or stuck food, we recommend soaking the cooled dish in soap and water.
Never use directly on a heat source such as a gas burner, electric hob, ceramic hob or grill.
Cooking in an air fryer is popular with everyone who wants to prepare tasty food without unnecessary fat, quickly and with minimal effort. To make cooking truly convenient and varied, we have prepared specially selected cookware intended for air fryers.
During cooking and baking, it is better to use gentle cooking utensils made of wood, silicone or melamine. This prevents unnecessary scratching and extends the product’s service life.
When handling hot baking dishes, we recommend using oven mitts , which protect your hands from high temperatures.
If you want even better baking results, be sure to try our baking dishes with non-stick coating or practical baking dishes with lids , which allow food to be stored directly after baking. For baking enthusiasts, we also offer a wide range of baking moulds , which make it easier to prepare sweet and savoury dishes.
Pyrex – from an American idea to a French kitchen icon
The Pyrex® brand was founded in 1915 in the USA, when Bessie and Jessie Littleton, with the help of NONEX glass from Corning, laid the foundation for the first exceptionally durable glass baking dish. A few years later, the Pyrex story moved to Europe: from 1922 borosilicate glass began to be produced in France and in 1970 main production moved to the plant in Châteauroux , where Pyrex has been shaped, pressed and produced to this day – an enormous furnace with an area of almost 100 m² stands there and processes over 150 tonnes of raw materials daily. Pyrex can therefore legitimately rely on the designation Made in France and the quality associated with it
Thanks to continuous innovation, Pyrex glass products today withstand extreme temperatures from –40 °C to +350 °C and thermal shocks up to 240 °C (EN 1183). The brand has also expanded beyond iconic glass – since 2004, it has included metal and ceramic cookware, pans and saucepans. At its core, however, the essential remains: durable, hygienic and taste-neutral materials that make cooking and serving easier across generations.
