TIPS AND BENEFITS

The benefits of borosilicate glass are outstanding. It withstands extreme temperatures from -40°C to +300°C. It is highly resistant to thermal shocks of up to 220°C (EN 1183): it can be transferred from a freezer at -20°C to an oven at 20°C. Hygienic BPA-free material does not retain stains or odours. Scratch-resistant

Use this bowl for a wide range of activities — mix dough for baking, prepare a large salad, serve a shared dish or store a prepared mixture in the refrigerator or freezer. Thanks to the robust borosilicate glass, it is also suitable for use in the microwave oven, conventional oven and refrigerator — providing flexibility and convenience when cooking and serving. When serving, the bowl excels on its own thanks to its design – place it in the centre of the table, without the need for additional containers or decorations, and let it stand out during a shared dinner or family gathering.

Wash before first use. Avoid abrasive cleaning products. Washing dishes under abnormal conditions, such as high water temperature and excessive detergent dosage, may damage the glass. In the event of burnt or stuck-on food, we recommend soaking the cooled dish in soap and water.

Never use directly on a heat source such as a gas burner, electric hob, ceramic hob or grill.

For home baking, you will certainly appreciate the wide range of baking aids. Clearly arranged baking utensils, bowls of various sizes and cutters in all different shapes and sizes.

When handling hot baking dishes, we recommend using oven mitts , which protect your hands from high temperatures.

If you want to enjoy even better baking, be sure to try our baking dishes with a non-stick surface or practical baking dishes with lids , which allow food to be stored directly after baking. For baking enthusiasts, we also offer a wide range of baking tins , which make preparing sweet and savoury dishes easier.

Pyrex – from an American idea to a French kitchen icon

The brand Pyrex® was founded in 1915 in the USA, when Bessie and Jessie Littleton, with the help of NONEX glass from Corning, laid the foundations for the first exceptionally durable glass baking dish. A few years later, the Pyrex story moved to Europe: from 1922 borosilicate glass began to be manufactured in France and in 1970 the main production moved to the plant in Châteauroux , where Pyrex has been shaped, pressed and manufactured to this day — this is where a huge kiln covering almost 100 m² stands and processes over 150 tonnes of raw materials every day. Pyrex therefore rightfully builds on the designation Made in France and the quality associated with it

Thanks to continuous innovation, Pyrex glass products today withstand extreme temperatures from –40 °C to +350 °C and thermal shocks of up to 240 °C (EN 1183). At the same time, since 2004 the brand has expanded its range beyond iconic glass to include metal and ceramic cookware, pans and saucepans. At its core, however, the essential remains: durable, hygienic and taste-neutral materials that make cooking and serving easier across generations.
