Small TORO kitchen strainer with a diameter of 10 cm is practical wherever a standard large strainer or colander  is unnecessary and you need to strain, rinse or sift only a small amount of ingredients. The fine metal strainer with 1 × 1 mm mesh catches even small pieces, making it ideal for straining loose-leaf tea and herbal infusions, spices from stock, juices and sauces, or rinsing small fruit and smaller amounts of food. The fine mesh is also useful for baking and decorating – for example, for evenly dusting icing sugar, cocoa or cinnamon over pastries, desserts or cappuccino. The long handle allows comfortable holding over a cup, bowl or pot, and the small loop on the opposite side of the strainer can rest on its rim , so you do not have to hold the colander throughout straining. The small strainer is ideal for loose-leaf tea and herbal infusions , catching whole spices from stock, or straining fresh lemon juice from seeds and pulp. You can also rinse blueberries, redcurrants, peas, sweetcorn or small amounts of pulses in it.

It is also very practical when opening small cans. Simply place the strainer upside down over the opened can, hold it in place and pour the liquid through the fine mesh. The contents remain inside, so there is no need to take out a large colander for a few spoonfuls of sweetcorn, peas, beans or other preserved foods.
