Product detailed description

Rectangular container Pyrex Cook & Freez  with a capacity of 1.5 l and a practical lid is an excellent choice for everyday preparation and storage of standard portions. Store all your homemade dishes in our glass container and its lid, specially designed for freezing, or simply in the refrigerator. Its generous rectangular shape offers perfect storage space for various ready meals, gratinated dishes or even cakes. Thanks to the bowl shape with an integrated lid it keeps your dishes fresh while preserving their flavour. It therefore allows you to prepare dishes in advance and store them for later enjoyment, saving time while preserving the quality of your dishes.

You can use the dish for baking, browning and reheating in the microwave, and after cooling also for storage in the freezer. Transparent borosilicate glass highlights the colours and texture of the dish, while the lid keeps food fresh for longer – an ideal aid for quick dinners and organising the everyday kitchen.

Pyrex® borosilicate glass has built an excellent reputation since 1922 thanks to its unrivalled durability, resisting extreme temperatures from -40°C to +350°C , as well as thermal shocks up to 220°C. It is also recognised for its quality, is highly scratch-resistant and does not retain stains or odours. Naturally, it is also healthy and BPA-free.

TIPS AND BENEFITS

The benefits of Pyrex® borosilicate glass are exceptional. It withstands extreme temperatures from -40°C to +350°C. It is highly resistant to thermal shocks up to 220°C (EN 1183): it can be moved from a freezer at -20°C into an oven at 220°C. Hygienic BPA-free material does not retain stains or odours. Scratch-resistant

Wash before first use. Avoid abrasive cleaning agents. Washing dishes under abnormal conditions, such as high water temperature and detergent dosage, may damage the glass. In the event of burnt-on or stuck food, we recommend soaking the dish in soap and water after it has cooled.

Never use directly on a heat source such as a gas burner, electric hob, ceramic hob or grill.

During cooking and baking, it is better to use gentle cooking utensils made of wood, silicone or melamine. This will prevent unnecessary scratching and extend the service life.

When baking at home, you will certainly appreciate the wide range of baking aids. Clearly arranged baking utensils, bowls of various sizes and cutters in all different shapes and sizes.

When handling hot baking dishes, we recommend using oven mitts , which protect your hands from high temperatures.

If you want to enjoy even better baking, be sure to try our baking dishes with non-stick coating or practical baking dishes with lids , which allow dishes to be stored immediately after baking. For baking enthusiasts, we also offer a wide range of baking tins , which make it easier to prepare sweet and savoury dishes.

If you prefer classical plastic boxes for short- and long-term storage, be sure to check out the great LocknLock collection. No one makes food containers and boxes of different shapes and sizes better. TOP quality at low prices

Pyrex – from an American idea to a French kitchen icon

The brand Pyrex® was founded in 1915 in the USA, when Bessie and Jessie Littleton, with the help of NONEX glass from Corning, laid the foundation for the first exceptionally durable glass baking dish. A few years later, the Pyrex story moved to Europe: from 1922 borosilicate glass began to be produced in France and in 1970 main production moved to the plant in Châteauroux , where Pyrex is still shaped, pressed and manufactured today — it is home to a huge furnace with an area of almost 100 m², processing over 150 tonnes of raw materials daily. Pyrex therefore rightly relies on the designation Made in France and the quality associated with it

Thanks to continuous innovation, Pyrex glass products can now withstand extreme temperatures from –40 °C to +350 °C and thermal shocks up to 240 °C (EN 1183). The brand has also expanded beyond iconic glass — since 2004, it has also included metal and ceramic cookware, frying pans and saucepans. At its core, however, the essentials remain: durable, hygienic and taste-neutral materials that make cooking and serving easier across generations.
