TIPS AND BENEFITS

The Pyrex measuring cup is made of highly durable glass that can also be placed in the oven. However, do not use it at temperatures above 180 °C, as the scale could be damaged.

Wash before first use. Avoid abrasive cleaning products. Washing dishes under abnormal conditions, such as high water temperature and excessive detergent dosing, may damage the glass. In the event of burnt or stuck-on food, we recommend soaking the dish in soap and water after it has cooled.

Never use directly on a heat source such as a gas burner, electric hob, ceramic hob or grill.

The Pyrex® brand originated in 1915 in the USA, when Bessie and Jessie Littleton, with the help of NONEX glass from Corning, laid the foundations for the first exceptionally durable glass baking dish. A few years later, the Pyrex story moved to Europe: from 1922 borosilicate glass began to be manufactured in France and in 1970 main production moved to the plant in Châteauroux , where Pyrex has been formed, pressed and manufactured to this day — it is here that a huge furnace covering almost 100 m² processes more than 150 tonnes of raw materials every day.
