TIPS AND BENEFITS

The Pyrex measuring jug is made of highly durable glass that can also be placed in the oven. However, do not use it at temperatures above 180 °C – the scale could be damaged.

Wash before first use. Avoid abrasive cleaning products. Washing dishes under abnormal conditions, such as high water temperature and dispensing detergent, may damage the glass. If food has burnt on or stuck, we recommend soaking the cooled dish in soap and water.

Never use directly on a heat source such as a gas burner, electric hob, ceramic hob or grill.

The brand Pyrex® was founded in 1915 in the USA, when Bessie and Jessie Littleton, with the help of NONEX glass from Corning, laid the foundations for the first exceptionally durable glass baking dish. A few years later, the Pyrex story moved to Europe: from 1922 borosilicate glass began to be produced in France and in 1970 main production moved to the plant in Châteauroux , where Pyrex is still formed, pressed and manufactured today — it is home to a huge furnace covering almost 100 m² and processing over 150 tonnes of raw materials every day.
