PYREX Infinity stainless steel frying pan 20 cm with removable handle
Code: SR20MFX/8046Product detailed description
Premium PYREX Infinity stainless steel frying pan with removable handle combines the professional qualities of high-quality stainless steel cookware with a smart solution for the modern kitchen. It is made of high-quality 18/10 stainless steel , which is exceptionally durable and hygienic, does not absorb odours or flavours, and, thanks to its PFAS-free design without a conventional non-stick coating offers a natural way of everyday cooking. The quality construction heats up quickly and distributes heat evenly across the entire surface, giving you good control over food preparation and making it easy to achieve perfect browning of meat, steaks, fish and vegetables with a beautiful golden crust. A major advantage is the removable handle , which allows you to start cooking on the hob, remove the handle and continue preparing the same dish directly in the oven up to 260 °C – without unnecessarily transferring it to another dish. Once the handle is removed, the pan is also much easier to store, fits into the oven more easily and takes up less space on the table when serving. The elegant brushed stainless steel surface emphasises its premium appearance while helping to reduce the visibility of normal signs of use. The pan is suitable for induction, gas, electric, ceramic and halogen hobs and, thanks to the high durability of stainless steel, is designed for many years of intensive use

Advice and tips
A stainless steel frying pan has a slightly different character from a conventional pan with a non-stick surface – and this is precisely why it can produce fantastic results when used correctly. Before adding meat or vegetables, first preheat the pan briefly at medium power. Then add a small amount of fat and only afterwards the ingredients. Properly heated stainless steel helps reduce sticking and allows you to create a beautifully browned surface.
When preparing steak or meat, do not rush to turn it over. If the meat is still slightly sticking to the surface, it is often not seared properly yet. Once a browned crust has formed, it will generally release from the stainless steel much more easily. This quality is one of the reasons why professional chefs value high-quality stainless steel frying pans so highly.
Always fit the removable handle correctly before each use and check that it is securely locked. Use only the original handle intended for the PYREX Infinity system. Always remove the handle before placing the pan in the oven – the pan body itself is suitable for ovens up to 260°C.
When cooking, use a burner corresponding to the size of the pan base. On a gas stove, the flame should not extend beyond its base. Do not heat an empty stainless steel pan at high power for a long time; medium heat is sufficient for preheating.
Stainless steel is highly durable and will retain its attractive appearance for many years with proper care. If whitish mineral water stains appear on the surface, you can remove them with a soft cloth and a little vinegar. If food is burnt onto the pan, first soak it in warm water – the stuck-on residue will then be much easier to remove. Avoid aggressive abrasive and chlorine-based cleaning products.
After removing the handle, you can also use the pan to finish meat, bake vegetables or prepare other dishes in the oven. The combination of hob → oven → serving without unnecessary transferring is one of the strongest advantages of this new Infinity range.
Pyrex – from an American idea to a French kitchen icon
The Pyrex® brand was founded in 1915 in the USA, when Bessie and Jessie Littleton, with the help of NONEX glass from Corning, laid the foundation for the first exceptionally durable glass baking dish. A few years later, the Pyrex story moved to Europe: from 1922 borosilicate glass began to be manufactured in France and in 1970 the main production moved to the plant in Châteauroux , where Pyrex has been formed, pressed and manufactured to this day — the site is home to a huge furnace covering almost 100 m² and processes over 150 tonnes of raw materials every day. Pyrex can therefore legitimately rely on the designation Made in France and the quality associated with it
Thanks to continuous innovation, Pyrex glass products can now withstand extreme temperatures from –40 °C to +350 °C and thermal shocks of up to 240 °C (EN 1183). At the same time, since 2004 the brand has expanded its range beyond iconic glass to include metal and ceramic cookware, frying pans and saucepans. At its core, however, the essential qualities remain: durable, hygienic and flavour-neutral materials that make cooking and serving easier across generations.
