Detailed information

Product detailed description

Premium PYREX Infinity stainless steel pan with a detachable handle combines the professional properties of quality stainless steel cookware with a smart solution for the modern kitchen. It is made of high-quality 18/10 stainless steel , which is exceptionally durable and hygienic, does not absorb odours or flavours, and, thanks to its PFAS-free design without a conventional non-stick coating , offers a natural way of everyday cooking. The quality construction heats up quickly and distributes heat evenly across the entire surface, giving you good control over food preparation and making it easy to achieve perfect browning of meat, steaks, fish and vegetables with a beautiful golden crust. A major advantage is the detachable handle , which allows you to start cooking in the pan on the stovetop, remove the handle and continue preparing the same dish directly in the oven up to 260 °C – without unnecessarily transferring it to another container. Once the handle is removed, the pan is also much easier to store, fits into the oven more easily and takes up less space on the table when serving. The elegant brushed stainless steel surface emphasises its premium appearance while also helping reduce the visibility of ordinary signs of use. The pan is suitable for induction, gas, electric, glass-ceramic and halogen hobs and, thanks to the high durability of stainless steel, is designed for many years of intensive use

Advice and tips

A stainless steel pan has a somewhat different character from an ordinary pan with a non-stick surface – and that is precisely why it can produce fantastic results when used correctly. Before adding meat or vegetables, first heat the pan briefly at medium power. Then add a small amount of fat and only afterwards the ingredients. Properly heated stainless steel helps reduce sticking and allows you to create a beautifully browned surface.

When preparing steak or meat, do not rush to turn it. If the meat is still holding slightly to the surface, it is often not properly seared yet. Once a browned crust has formed, it will generally release from the stainless steel considerably more easily. This property is one of the reasons professional chefs value quality stainless steel pans so highly.

Always attach the detachable handle correctly before each use and check that it is securely locked. Use only the original handle intended for the PYREX Infinity system. Always remove the handle before placing the pan in the oven – the pan body itself is suitable for oven use up to 260°C.

When cooking, use a burner corresponding to the size of the pan base. On a gas cooker, the flame should not extend beyond its base. Do not overheat an empty stainless steel pan at high power for a long time; medium heat is more than sufficient for heating.

Stainless steel is highly durable and will retain its attractive appearance for many years with proper care. If whitish mineral water spots appear on the surface, you can remove them with a soft cloth and a little vinegar. If food is burnt on, first soak the pan in warm water – the stuck-on residue will then be much easier to remove. Avoid aggressive abrasive and chlorine-based cleaning agents.

After removing the handle, you can also use the pan to finish meat, bake vegetables or prepare other dishes in the oven. The combination of stovetop → oven → serving without unnecessary transferring is one of the strongest advantages of this new Infinity range.

If you come to appreciate quality stainless steel cookware, you will certainly also be interested in other products for fully equipping your kitchen. For baking and oven cooking, we recommend durable Pyrex glass baking dishes , which perfectly complement cooking in a stainless steel saucepan and allow convenient preparation of dishes in the oven and their subsequent serving.

For everyday cooking, it is worth expanding your equipment with more stainless steel cookware , offering a long service life, high durability and versatile use in a modern kitchen. If you prefer easier handling during cooking, you will also appreciate cookware with a non-stick surface , which makes food preparation and subsequent cleaning easier.

Quality frying pans are also an excellent addition, helping you expand your cooking options from quick searing to preparing more complex dishes. And because working with quality cookware involves higher temperatures, you will certainly appreciate reliable oven gloves , ensuring safe and comfortable handling during cooking and baking.

For even cooking, stewing and protecting food from splashing fat, you will also appreciate pan lids , which improve cooking efficiency and preserve the flavour and aroma of prepared dishes.

Pyrex – from an American idea to a French kitchen icon

The brand Pyrex® was founded in 1915 in the USA, when Bessie and Jessie Littleton, with the help of NONEX glass from Corning, laid the foundation for the first exceptionally durable glass baking dish. A few years later, the Pyrex story moved to Europe: from 1922 borosilicate glass began to be produced in France and in 1970 main production moved to the plant in Châteauroux , where Pyrex has been formed, pressed and manufactured to this day — this is where a huge furnace with an area of almost 100 m² stands and processes over 150 tonnes of raw materials daily. Pyrex can therefore legitimately rely on the designation Made in France and the quality associated with it

Thanks to continuous innovation, Pyrex glass products today withstand extreme temperatures from –40 °C to +350 °C and thermal shocks of up to 240 °C (EN 1183). The brand has also expanded its range beyond iconic glass — since 2004, it has included metal and ceramic cookware, pans and saucepans. At its core, however, the essentials remain the same: durable, hygienic and flavour-neutral materials that make cooking and serving easier across generations.
