PYREX Infinity Stainless Steel Frying Pan 28 cm with Removable Handle
Code: SR28MFX/8046Product detailed description
Premium PYREX Infinity stainless steel frying pan with removable handle combines the professional properties of quality stainless steel cookware with a smart solution for the modern kitchen. It is made of high-quality 18/10 stainless steel , which is exceptionally durable and hygienic, does not absorb odours or flavours and, thanks to its PFAS-free design without a conventional non-stick coating offers a natural way of everyday cooking. The high-quality construction heats up quickly and distributes heat evenly across the entire surface, giving you good control over food preparation and making it easy to achieve perfect browning of meat, steaks, fish and vegetables with a beautifully golden crust. A major advantage is the removable handle , allowing you to start cooking on the hob, remove the handle and continue preparing the same dish directly in the oven up to 260 °C – without unnecessarily transferring it to another vessel. Once the handle is removed, the pan is also much easier to store, fits into the oven more easily and takes up less space on the table when serving. The elegant brushed stainless steel surface emphasises its premium appearance while also helping to reduce the visibility of normal signs of use. The pan is suitable for induction, gas, electric, ceramic and halogen hobs and, thanks to the high durability of stainless steel, is designed for many years of intensive use

Tips and advice
A stainless steel frying pan has a slightly different character from an ordinary pan with a non-stick coating – and precisely because of this, it can produce fantastic results when used correctly. Before adding meat or vegetables, briefly preheat the pan at a medium setting. Then add a small amount of fat and only afterwards the ingredients. Properly heated stainless steel helps reduce sticking and makes it possible to create a beautifully browned surface.
When preparing steak or meat, do not rush to turn it. If the meat is still holding slightly to the surface, it is often not properly seared yet. Once a browned crust has formed, it will generally release from the stainless steel much more easily. This property is one of the reasons professional chefs appreciate high-quality stainless steel frying pans so much.
Always attach the removable handle correctly before each use and check that it is securely locked. Use only the original handle intended for the PYREX Infinity system. Always remove the handle before placing the pan in the oven – the pan body itself is suitable for the oven up to 260°C.
When cooking, use a hob corresponding to the size of the pan base. On a gas cooker, the flame should not extend beyond the base. Do not overheat an empty stainless steel pan on high heat for a long time; medium heat is more than sufficient for preheating.
Stainless steel is very durable and, with proper care, will retain its attractive appearance for many years. If whitish mineral water spots appear on the surface, they can be removed with a soft cloth and a little vinegar. If food has burnt on, first soak the pan in warm water – the stuck-on residue will then be much easier to remove. Avoid aggressive abrasive and chlorine-based cleaning products.
After removing the handle, the pan can also be used to finish meat, bake vegetables or prepare other dishes in the oven. The combination of hob → oven → serving without unnecessary transferring is one of the strongest advantages of this new Infinity range.
Pyrex – from an American idea to a French kitchen icon
The brand Pyrex® was founded in 1915 in the USA, when Bessie and Jessie Littleton, with the help of NONEX glass from Corning, laid the foundations for the first exceptionally durable glass baking dish. A few years later, the Pyrex story moved to Europe: from 1922 borosilicate glass began to be produced in France and in 1970 main production moved to the plant in Châteauroux , where Pyrex is still formed, pressed and manufactured today — it is home to a huge furnace covering almost 100 m² and processing over 150 tonnes of raw materials every day. Pyrex can therefore justifiably rely on the label Made in France and the quality associated with it
Thanks to continuous innovation, Pyrex glass products today withstand extreme temperatures from –40 °C to +350 °C and thermal shocks of up to 240 °C (EN 1183). The brand has also expanded beyond its iconic glass — since 2004, it has included metal and ceramic cookware, frying pans and saucepans. At its core, however, the essential qualities remain: durable, hygienic and taste-neutral materials that make cooking and serving easier across generations.
