TIPS AND BENEFITS

The tin conducts heat evenly, so the batter bakes golden brown across the entire surface. It does not need to be extensively greased before baking – simply lightly grease the sides and base. It is suitable for all types of ovens; to preserve its long service life, we recommend only hand washing. Do not use metal utensils, which could damage the surface. The Pyrex Glide Ø 22 cm tin combines practical use with elegant design – an ideal choice for everyday and festive baking.

The raised elements on the bottom of the tin are not merely decorative – they help improve air circulation and ensure more even baking of the batter. They also reinforce the base of the tin, so it does not deform during baking and retains its shape for longer.

The PFAS-free non-stick surface is a modern and safer alternative to Teflon – it contains no fluorinated substances, making it gentler on health and the environment while remaining durable and easy to clean.

Wash before first use. Avoid abrasive cleaning agents. Washing dishes under abnormal conditions, such as high water temperature and excessive detergent dosage, may damage the non-stick surface. If food is burnt or stuck, we recommend soaking the cooled cookware in soap and water.

Never use directly on a heat source such as a gas burner, electric hob, ceramic hob or grill.

During cooking and baking, it is better to use gentle cooking utensils made of wood, silicone or melamine. This will prevent unnecessary scratching and extend the service life.

When baking at home, you will certainly appreciate the wide range of baking aids. Clearly arranged baking utensils, bowls of various sizes and cutters in many different shapes and sizes.

The complete range of pie tins includes tins with non-stick surfaces, as well as glass and silicone tins in various sizes. When handling hot baking dishes, we recommend using kitchen oven gloves , which protect your hands from high temperatures.

If you want to enjoy even better baking, be sure to try our baking dishes with a non-stick surface or practical baking dishes with lids , which allow food to be stored directly after baking. For baking enthusiasts, we also offer a wide range of baking tins , which make preparing sweet and savoury dishes easier.

Pyrex – from an American idea to a French kitchen icon

The Pyrex® brand was founded in 1915 in the USA, when Bessie and Jessie Littleton, with the help of NONEX glass from Corning, laid the foundation for the first exceptionally durable glass baking dish. A few years later, the Pyrex story moved to Europe: from 1922 borosilicate glass began to be produced in France and in 1970 main production moved to the plant in Châteauroux , where Pyrex is still shaped, pressed and manufactured today — this is where a huge furnace covering almost 100 m² stands and processes over 150 tonnes of raw materials every day. Pyrex can therefore rightfully rely on the designation Made in France and the quality associated with it

Thanks to continuous innovation, Pyrex glass products today withstand extreme temperatures from –40 °C to +350 °C and thermal shocks of up to 240 °C (EN 1183). The brand has also expanded beyond its iconic glass — since 2004, its range has included metal and ceramic cookware, pans and saucepans. At its core, however, the essentials remain: durable, hygienic and taste-neutral materials that make cooking and serving easier across generations.
