TIPS AND BENEFITS
When baking, there is no need to grease the pan extensively – simply lightly grease the sides with butter or oil. The base can easily be covered with baking paper , which is held between the sides when the pan is closed and remains firmly in place. Once cooled, the pan simply opens and the result always looks perfect, without broken edges. To preserve the quality of the surface, we recommend gentle hand washing. Do not use sharp knives directly in the pan – this will extend its service life and preserve the perfectly smooth surface even with frequent baking.
The projections on the base of the pan are not merely a design feature – they help improve air circulation and ensure more even baking of the dough. They also reinforce the base of the pan, so it does not deform during baking and retains its shape for longer.
The PFAS-free non-stick coating is a modern and safer alternative to Teflon – it contains no fluorinated substances, making it gentler on health and the environment, while remaining durable and easy to clean.
Wash before first use. Avoid abrasive cleaning products. Washing dishes under abnormal conditions, such as high water temperature and excessive detergent dosing, may damage the non-stick coating. In the event of burnt-on or stuck food, we recommend soaking the cooled dish in soap and water.
Never use directly on a heat source such as a gas burner, electric hob, glass-ceramic hob or grill.
During cooking and baking, it is better to use gentle cooking utensils made of wood, silicone or melamine. This prevents unnecessary scratching and extends the service life.
When baking at home, you will certainly appreciate the wide range of baking aids. Clearly arranged baking utensils, bowls of various sizes and cutters in all different shapes and sizes.
The complete range of cake pans includes non-stick, glass and silicone pans in various sizes. When handling hot baking dishes, we recommend using kitchen oven mitts , which protect your hands from high temperatures.
If you want to enjoy even better baking, be sure to try our baking dishes with a non-stick coating or practical baking dishes with lids , which allow food to be stored directly after baking. For baking enthusiasts, we also offer a wide range of baking pans , which make preparing sweet and savoury dishes easier.
Pyrex – from an American idea to a French kitchen icon
The Pyrex® brand was founded in 1915 in the USA, when Bessie and Jessie Littleton, with the help of NONEX glass from Corning, laid the foundations for the first exceptionally durable glass baking dish. A few years later, the Pyrex story moved to Europe: from 1922 borosilicate glass began to be produced in France, and in 1970 main production moved to the plant in Châteauroux , where Pyrex has been formed, pressed and produced to this day — it is home to a huge furnace with an area of almost 100 m², processing over 150 tonnes of raw materials daily. Pyrex can therefore rightly use the designation Made in France and the quality associated with it
Thanks to continuous innovation, Pyrex glass products today withstand extreme temperatures from –40 °C to +350 °C and thermal shocks of up to 240 °C (EN 1183). The brand has also expanded its range beyond iconic glass — since 2004, it has included metal and ceramic cookware, frying pans and saucepans. At its core, however, the essentials remain: durable, hygienic and taste-neutral materials that make cooking and serving easier across generations.
