TIPS AND BENEFITS

The pan distributes heat evenly, so the pastry bakes to a golden finish across the entire surface. It does not need to be extensively greased before baking – simply grease the sides and base lightly. It is suitable for all types of baking ovens; to preserve its long service life, we recommend only hand washing. Do not use metal utensils, which could damage the surface. The Pyrex Glide pie pan, Ø 25 cm combines practical use with an elegant design – an ideal choice for everyday and festive baking.

The raised features on the pan base are not merely decorative – they help improve air circulation and ensure more even baking of the pastry. They also reinforce the base of the pan, so it does not deform during baking and retains its shape for longer.

The PFAS-free non-stick coating is a modern and safer alternative to Teflon – it contains no fluorinated substances, making it gentler on health and the environment while remaining durable and easy to clean.

Wash before first use. Avoid abrasive cleaning products. Washing dishes under abnormal conditions, such as high water temperature and excessive detergent dosing, may damage the non-stick coating. If food is burnt or stuck, we recommend soaking the cooled pan in soapy water.

Never use directly on a heat source such as a gas burner, electric hob, ceramic hob or grill.

During cooking and baking, it is better to use gentle cooking utensils made of wood, silicone or melamine. This prevents unnecessary scratching and extends the service life.

For home baking, you will certainly appreciate the wide range of baking aids. The clearly organised selection includes baking utensils, bowls of various sizes and cutters in a wide range of shapes and sizes.

The complete range of pie pans includes pans with non-stick coatings, as well as glass and silicone pans in various sizes. When handling hot baking dishes, we recommend using kitchen oven gloves , which protect your hands from high temperatures.

If you want to enjoy even better baking, be sure to try our baking dishes with non-stick coating or practical baking dishes with lids , which allow food to be stored immediately after baking. For baking enthusiasts, we also offer a wide range of baking pans , which make preparing sweet and savoury dishes easier.

Pyrex – from an American idea to a French kitchen icon

The Pyrex® brand was founded in 1915 in the USA, when Bessie and Jessie Littleton, with the help of NONEX glass from Corning, laid the foundations for the first exceptionally durable glass baking dish. A few years later, Pyrex’s story moved to Europe: from 1922 borosilicate glass began to be produced in France and in 1970 the main production moved to the plant in Châteauroux , where Pyrex has been shaped, pressed and manufactured to this day — this is where a giant furnace with an area of almost 100 m² stands and processes over 150 tonnes of raw materials daily. Pyrex can therefore justifiably rely on the designation Made in France and the quality associated with it

Thanks to continuous innovation, Pyrex glass products today withstand extreme temperatures from –40°C to +350°C and thermal shocks of up to 240°C (EN 1183). The brand has also expanded its range beyond iconic glass – since 2004, it has also included metal and ceramic cookware, frying pans and saucepans. At its core, however, the essential remains: durable, hygienic and flavour-neutral materials that make cooking and serving easier across generations.
