TIPS AND BENEFITS

The Pyrex measuring jug is made of highly durable glass that can also be placed in the oven. However, do not use it at temperatures above 180 °C - the scale could be damaged.

Wash before first use. Avoid abrasive cleaning agents. Washing dishes under abnormal conditions, such as high water temperature and excessive detergent dosage, may damage the glass. If food is burnt or stuck on, we recommend soaking the cooled dish in soap and water.

Never use directly on a heat source such as a gas burner, electric hob, ceramic hob or grill.

The brand Pyrex® was established in 1915 in the USA, when Bessie and Jessie Littleton, with the help of NONEX glass from Corning, laid the foundation for the first exceptionally durable glass baking dish. A few years later, the Pyrex story moved to Europe: from 1922 borosilicate glass began to be produced in France and in 1970 main production moved to the plant in Châteauroux , where Pyrex has been shaped, pressed and manufactured ever since — it is here that a huge furnace covering almost 100 m² stands and processes more than 150 tonnes of raw materials daily. Pyrex can therefore justifiably rely on the designation Made in France and the quality associated with it

Thanks to continuous innovation, Pyrex glass products today withstand extreme temperatures from –40 °C to +350 °C and thermal shocks of up to 240 °C (EN 1183).
