Traditional OMNIA lids for preserving jars are a proven classic for home preserving fruit and vegetables. Lids with an outer diameter of 8.3 cm are intended for corresponding preserving jars with a capacity of 0.7 l and, thanks to the inner rubber seal, help reliably seal the contents of the jar after proper closing. They are ideal for preparing homemade compotes, marmalades, jams, purées, pickled vegetables and other popular preserves without adding oil or fat. OMNIA preserving lids are made of aluminium and rubber, are intended for preserving at temperatures up to 100°C and the pack contains a practical 20 pieces. This is a classic method of closing preserving jars with a long tradition in Czech households.

Unlike Twist Off screw lids, the OMNIA lid is not screwed on. It is placed on the clean rim of the corresponding preserving jar, and an OMNIA lid sealing headis used to press it firmly into place. After preserving and cooling, a properly attached lid holds firmly due to the resulting vacuum.

Before preserving, always check the cleanliness of the jar rim and the condition of the lid and seal. The rim should be undamaged and perfectly clean before closing so that the seal can adhere properly. These particular lids are suitable for preserving fruit and vegetables without adding oil or fat at temperatures up to 100°C.
